 HOW TO REACH THE ISLAND OF KOS

Daily flights, from and for Athens to Kos island.

Daily connection with Rhodos, Kalymnos, Leros, Patmos and Piraeus. Kos is connected with Flying Dolphins to Rhodos, Patmos, Leros and Samos.Also from Athens you can reach Kos island by ferry. There are many tourist boats doing daily excursions to the near islands, for informatios address to the State's Tourist Office of the island.

 TRANSPORTATION WITHIN THE ISLAND

From the bus terminus of the town: daily lines to Zipari Asfendiou, Tingaki, Pyli, Kardamaina, Antimachia, Mastichari, Kefalos. And some city buses arrive till the beaches outside the town, Psalidi and Lambi, and to the Asklepieo.

 CARS AND MOTORCYCLES RENTAL

In Kos city you will find many agencies that rent cars, motor bicycles, motor cycles and bikes. GAS STATIONS. You will find gas stations inside and outside the town, en route to the villages. There are also some in Antimachia and in Kefalos. Open hours: from Monday to Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m .. In every gas station there is the announcement about which one will be open until 10 p.m .. On Sundays, there are always two gas station open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m .

  • 2 Sunbeds and an umbrella on the beach in Tingaki have a price of 5 Euros
  • Cup of coffee or cup of tea - costs 1.50 Euros in Tingaki (Can be up to 3Euros on the seafront in Kos Town)
  • Frappe (Iced coffee) has a price of 1.50-2 Euros
  • Coca cola costs 1-1.50 Euros
  • 1 litre of table water is about 80cents to 1 Euro
  • Freshly squeezed orange juice costs about 2 Euros to 2.50
  • Beer - Amstel & Mythos have a price of 2Euros and Heinekan costs 2.50 Euros
  • Glass of Ouzo is about 2 Euros
  • Glass Metaxa brandy costs 2.50 Euros
  • Typical meal for 2 persons (ie. mousaka) with local wine served in caraf has price of approx. 20-25 Euros
  • Greek salad costs between 3.50 and 4 euro
  • A souvlaki is about 1-1.5 euro a stick and about 2-2.5 euro a pita
  • A special Gyros pitta has a price of 2 to 2.50 Euros
  • Gyros plate cost from 6 to 10 euros
  • Octopus in vinegar found at a price between 5 and 8 euro
  • A bottle of good local wine has a prices of 7 to 8 Euros in supermarket and in a taverna 16-20 Euros
